Here are some of the things people are saying about
Carolyn Sloan's FINDING YOUR VOICE:

What a beautiful book you have written. I have been a singer for thirty years. I didn't really "find my voice" till about two years ago, although I had been singing professionally. I just saw your book at Barnes and Nobles and it just jumped out at me. It expressed truly what I was experiencing as I was finding my own path toward "enlightened singing." That is what I think you offer to those of us who have been searching for our voice for a long time. I am now 45 and I sing with joy. You are just wonderful!

Tonight, I bought the book, and as I sat reading it in chapters, in the bookstore, I found my tears were watering down my cafe latte! Carolyn, you have so very clearly and eloquently expressed and validated my vaguest hopes, my most distant dream: to be a singer. Thank you for helping me find my way back to me. Forever grateful,

I am a singer/songwriter living in New York City. I just recently finished reading your wonderful book and wanted to thank you for writing it!!! It is helping me to take a new and different approach towards my voice and the songs that I sing. Sincerely,
Sallie E. S.

I write to you because through your book, FINDING YOUR VOICE, you have been a great friend to me. It is a truly inspiring and moving book that I have found to be very much helpful in my own life and my own singing. I really respect your integrative approach to singing and living, and as you said that "as you grow as a person, your voice will continue to grow with more power and beauty," I feel a lot of power and beauty from your voice in this book, and will continue to be inspired by it for a long time. Well done!

I have a copy of FINDING YOUR VOICE and I am finding it helpful. As a choir member I have heard people talk about "chest voice" and "head voice" for years. Your book is making some sense of it for me. Thanks again for your helpful book. I have only begun to scratch the surface of its wealth to be mined. My wife says I'd better hurry as she wants the book next! With kindest regards,

The book sort of fell into my hands. I started reading it and knew that this was what I needed. Reading your book has helped me better understand my struggle with my voice, and helped me feel like I'm not a freak. Thank you for sharing what you've learned.

I am almost finished with your most wonderful book. It came along at just the right time in my life, when I am at a crossroads spiritually, emotionally, professionally, etc. Your book just may help. Again, thank you for the book. I have recommended it to every singer I know. Very truly yours,
Jennifer S.

I'm writing because I truly enjoyed your book, FINDING YOUR VOICE, and I agree wholeheartedly with so much of what you had to say. Sincerely,

I just recently purchased FINDING YOUR VOICE. I have to say that it is the most incredible book I have ever read! Thanks for your inspiration.

I am sure a zillion people have e-mailed you in regards to your book, however, I just wanted to say I enjoyed reading it. I am the director of worship-related ministries at a new and rapidly growing church in Louisiana. I find music education to be a large part of what I do. People have so much more potential than they realize if they will just "find" it. Thanks,
Stacy H.

FINDING YOUR VOICE is a lovely book. It lives up to its billing. I bought it to begin to look at the technique of singing - I found it to be an engaging exploration of self-discovery. Having read it once, complete with highlighting and underlining, almost in one sitting, I'm going back to work through the exercises and explore the self in a more concentrated way. I look forward to the experience. I've had years of experiential training in most of the wisdom you use, and I find nothing I can argue with - my early experiences of your guided meditations in fact are revealing of the deeper self and I can easily see how this works for you in your teaching. More importantly, as I watch my young daughters (ages 5 & 8) beginning their own musical discovery, I now see the value of the questions you ask. And I have a glimmer of how they may help me support their journey. Thank you so much for your own self-exploration and your willingness to put it out for all to see. You're wise and a real contribution to the world we know.
