Barksdale Theatre  Barksdale was the first American dinner theatre and is the oldest not-for-profit theatre in Richmond, Virginia.  Currently located at The Shops at Willow Lawn.

Barn Dinner Theatre  This Greensboro, North Carolina company is the oldest continuously operating dinner theatre in America.

Bats - Queens' College Drama Society  The Bats are (is?) the drama society of Queens' College, Cambridge, England.  Named after the local inhabitants.

Battered Suitcase Theatre Company  Originally formed as a semi-pro theatre company writing and performing Murder Dinners.  Located in Portsmouth, England.

Bay Area Theatresports (BATS)  Not to be confused with the Bats of Cambridge, this is a San Francisco improvisational theatre company.

Bedford Amateur Operatic Society (BAOS)  Another English troupe actually performing traditional musical comedies despite their name.

Bedford Little Theatre  This community theatre is in Bedford, Indiana, and their small (170 seat) theatre is more suited to plays and very small musicals.

Bedlam Theatre - Edinburgh University Theatre Company  Their name pretty much sums it up for this Scottish troupe which boasts some fifty shows a year!

Bedrock Theatre Company  Interesting theatre troupe based in Dublin, Ireland.

Beverly Hills Playhouse  The home of Milton Katselas' acting school, this 99-seat playhouse is primarily a rental facility.

Beverly Theatre Guild  Community theatre in Southwest Chicago.

Bilingual Foundation of the Arts  99-seat Los Angeles theatre company promoting Hispanic culture.  I haven't found a web site.

Billie Holiday Theatre  This Brooklyn theatre has been presenting first rate theatre for more than a quarter of a century, helping boost the careers of numerous black performers.

Birmingham Children's Theatre  A major non-Equity youth theatre company in Birmingham, Alabama.

Black Light Theatre IMAGE  A Czech troupe which uses a variety of techniques including black light images, jazz music, dance and pantomime.  I can't read a word, but the site is interesting to look at.

Blackfriars Drama Society  Membership theatrical support group at Mississippi State University.

Blackfriars Theatre  50 year-old theatre group in Rochester, New York.

Blackpool Grand Theatre  Restored 1894 theatre in Blackpool, England serves as a major stop for British touring productions.

Blank Theatre Company  Small theatre company on Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles.  Their recording of Blitzstein's The Cradle Will Rock is available on CD.

Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble  Professional Pennsylvania company performing in their own Alvina Krause Theatre, a former downtown movie theatre.

Blue Man Group  Phenomenally successful performance art theatrical production (which I have yet to see) with sit down productions in New York, Chicago, Boston and Las Vegas!  Not to mention the tour!

Boarshead Theatre  Equity theatre in Lansing, Michigan.

Bob Hope Theatre  Bob Hope is English, so it's fitting that this theatre is in Eltham, a suburb of south-east London.  Hope rescued the struggling theatre in the late 70s and it's now a thriving community organization.

Bond Street Theatre Coalition  "A physical theatre company with a social consciousness, a global view, and a sense of humor."  Non-equity acting ensemble that generally tours, as they have no theatre space of their own.

Boston Rock Opera  A non-Equity professional theatre devoted exclusively to new and previously produced rock operas.  Well somebody had to do, I suppose.

Boston Theatre Works  New England theater professionals founded Boston Theatre Works in 1998 with one goal in mind:  bring new and experimental theater to the citizens of Boston.  Their production have included Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet.

Bowie Community Theatre  Community theatre in Bowie, Maryland.

Box Clever Theatre Company  This London company collaborates with the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury to present what the Arts Council of England has called "Heart-thumpingly dangerous theatre."  You've been warned.

Brampton Music Theatre  Community musical theatre group located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Brava Theater Center  San Francisco company whose primary purpose is to produce outstanding world premieres by women of color and lesbian playwrights.  They operate out of a 1926 former vaudeville house.

Brave New Workshop   This Minneapolis group bills itself as "the oldest, ongoing satirical comedy theatre in the country."  (Second City opened a year later.)

Brick Playhouse  This membership company develops new works in their showcase theatre on South Street in Philadelphia.

The Bridge - Stage of the Arts  New York City not-for-profit organization created in 1980 to "bring to life theater projects containing unusual juxtapositions which 'bridge' gaps and point to new directions."  It also presents a variety of programs on the history of the American musical theatre.

Bridge Theatre Company  A collaborative theatre organization serving the Boston community.

Bridgwater Pantomime Society  British "pantomimes" are musical productions like Aladdin, Babes in the Wood and Robinson Crusoe.  This is a community theatre in Bridgwater, Somerset, England.

Bristol Old Vic and Theatre Royal  The Theatre Royal in Bristol is the oldest working theatre in Great Britain -- it opened in 1776!

Bristol Riverside Theatre  Professional Equity company in Bristol, Pennsylvania.  Their 300-seat theatre is located along the Delaware River.

Brize Norton Theatre Club  Another English community theatre organization (or should I say organisation).

Broadhollow Players  "The largest not-for-profit, full-time professional repertory theater company on Long Island."  Their in Ronkonkoma, New York.

Broadway In Boston  A package of local and touring productions that play three of Boston's venerable old theatres: The Colonial Theatre, The Wilbur Theatre and The Charles Playhouse.

Bucks County Playhouse  For more than 60 years this Pennsylvania mainstay has supplied the neighboring communities with theatrical productions.  In recent years they have operated as a non-Equity company.  In New Hope, PA.

Buddies in Bad Times Theatre  This Toronto, Ontario theatre company bills itself as "Canada's premiere gay and lesbian theatre."

Bunbury Theatre  One of the "best kept secrets" in Louisville, Kentucky theatre.  Founded in 1985, the company operates a 99 seat theatre in the historic "Louisvillian."

Buntport Theater  Small comic troupe created by Colorado Springs college graduates, now based in Denver.
